Therapeutic Applications of Minecraft
An Introductory Course
Minecraft offers a unique set of tools and experiences that can be utilized for growth in individual and group settings. This training will introduce you to the ways in which Minecraft can be used intentionally to support the development of communication and insight. This training is appropriate for those who love Minecraft, as well as those who have never opened the game.

Following this course, participants should be able to:
- Describe the current literature on therapeutic applications of Minecraft.
- List common strategies for integrating Minecraft in therapy.
- Discuss the potential benefits and risks of using MC as a therapeutic tool with stakeholders such as clients, parents and program administrators.
- Describe the basics of Minecraft as a game and cultural phenomenon.
Continuing Education: This course qualifies for 1.5 CE credits.
